Acer Aspire easyStore 1TB NAS Review

I recently had the opportunity to test a device, the Acer Aspire easyStore NAS (Network Attached Storage).

The devices come out of the box with 4 x 250GB Hard drives (the 1TB version) or 4x 500GB (the 2TB version) all drives are Seagate drives making the unit more quiet and reliable, but remain cool with a rear 80mm fan which is not audible through the use.

These have historically always been a very expensive product that only companiesUsers could afford it, but the new Acer models are much cheaper, and the first thing you notice as it is out of the box the style, not only to hide a black box in a closet, but it would not look of space next to a new TV or a new computer.

The model to test, I was one of the 2TB models, more than enough space for even the biggest downloader, unit itself was set up very straight with a power cord and network cable, just plug, youthey also connect to the network adapter installed by wireless, so you do not even have to set up a complete home network.

I was expecting to have to install drivers for hundreds of windows, would be before even, but I was wrong and a quick program later and I was back on the hard drive with the greatest ease and showed in "My Computer" as a network device - overall very easy to set up.

The user interface is very easy to use from any computerthe network through a web browser, making it perfect for storing films music and pictures, it even allows you to set up a FTP server so that the world access to files from anywhere in!

All in all, this is a brilliant product for a reasonable price if the equipment compared to other brands of storage and would go well in every home network with no hassle, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who was at home looking to an external drive for well worth everyPenny.
